Our school has recently purchased Study Island, an online program to help students prepare for the ISTEP+. The program is divided into sections based on math and language arts. Each section is made up of approximately 30 topics, and each topic corresponds to a standard from the state curriculum Topics consist of a lesson and a bank of practice questions with explanations. Students using the program at home may choose to answer questions with the game mode.

    Those students who receive a blue ribbon, an indicator of passing a topic, are recognized by having their names placed on the Study Island bulletin board. 

    Students are encouraged to use the program this summer. The goal of the program is to "pass" every topic. If a student is able to do this, he or she has demonstrated proficiency in all areas tested and should be well prepared for next fall's ISTEP.
